Firstly, I’ll define what I mean by the term “free” – by this we can organise funding of private medical care that we can then recover directly from the other side at the end of a successful claim. So it isn’t provided free of charge, but you won’t have to pay out for it so long as you comply with the terms of the agreement.
How our free private medical care works…
Our medical partners can fund a degree of care from the start of the claim as long as we are satisfied that there are reasonable prospects of success. Under their Early Intervention Scheme you can therefore get some treatment when you need it most at the start of the claim without having to wait for the other side to accept liability. Once they accept liability, that’s when we can properly agree to charge treatment to them.
If they do accept, our medical partners will seek recovery of the fees they have laid out directly from the other side. That or we can just recover it at the end with our costs. If, however, the claim does not win or they cannot recover their fees, they recover them from a policy of insurance they have.
So it’s kind of like treatment on a No Win, No Fee basis as well!
You don’t lose out on money yourself when the treatment is recovered. It will be factored in to the claim if it isn’t recovered directly by the medical firm. So if you’re claim is worth £5,000 and the treatment cost £500, we will put in a total claim for £5,500 meaning you still recover your full damages.
How good is that?
