More on CICA Claims and Premeditated Attacks

violent-attacksRandom attacks by strangers are at the highest level in more than a decade according to recent press reports, which has linked the figures to Labour’s time in government and  the introduction of the 24 hour drinking licenses.

The Daily Mirror reports that figures have indicated that a person is attacked by a random stranger every 30 seconds in Britain, and that there were 1,057,000 violent attacks by strangers last year; the equivalent to 2,895 every day or 120 per hour.

The report also indicates that only a third of violent crimes involved the victim not knowing the assailant when Labour came in to power which has jumped to half as random violence, fuelled by alcohol and round the clock drinking licenses, is on the rise.

The Tragedy of Medical Negligence

medical-negligenceDoctors, surgeons, nurses, and all health workers charged with the care of those who are ill or injured have a duty to ensure that the procedures and medicines they practice and provide are safe and adequate.

Medical Negligence: the term itself is straight forward; for example medical staff failing to sufficiently examine and diagnose a patient or administering the wrong treatment.

Causing Car Accidents Under the Influence!

dont-drink-and-driveUnfortunately there are still people out there who take the wrong decision to jump behind the wheel of a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of alcohol or narcotics; and it’s no secret that it’s a major cause of road traffic accidents around the world.

So what are the rules and legislation regarding being under the influence and on the road? It depends on the circumstances of course, but the gist Section 5 of the Road Traffic Act 1972 details clearly that a person found to be under the influence or alcohol or narcotics is guilty of offence (source – opens as a pdf).
