The Injury Lawyers settle cruise ship slipping accident claim

Different laws apply to certain situations which can mean some cases can be more complex than others. Accidents on cruise ships can fall in to this area because there are different laws that apply when an accident occurs out at sea.

We can usually apply UK jurisdiction where the cruise ship operator is UK based though – and as specialist injury lawyers we know how to fight and win such cases.

Our client slipped on a wet area aboard the cruise ship and suffered muscular injuries to the foot and ankle area. Luckily they were not severe but they were of course limiting enough to warrant a great deal of suffering and inconvenience.

Slip claims in general are quite hard to win as the duties that often apply mean that companies only need to take reasonable steps to prevent incidents occurring. Reasonable steps can be systems of inspection which most places have.

We were successful in persuading the opponent to admit liability and we obtained medical evidence and submitted the claim. After the usual negotiations our client was happy to accept an award of £4,500.00

Important warning

When different laws apply to more complex cases like cruise ship claims it is not wise to leave your claim to chance by instructing a non-specialist law firm. At The Injury Lawyers we have decades of experience in dealing with personal injury claims and we are a real law firm and NOT a claims management company.

We represent victims for a lot of complex and unusual claim types so we have the experience you need to win in a situation where you may be injured on board a cruise ship.
