The Food Standards Agency has issued notification of a recall for Nua Natruals Organic Chlorella Powder after the detection of salmonella.
Salmonella can cause food poisoning and in serious cases can lead to typhoid fever, which can be fatal. Anyone who has brought this product is being urged to return it and refrain from using it given the serious risk it may pose to your health if consumed.
The FSA has released the following information in to the affected product:
Food poisoning cases, whilst often short lived, can of course be serious. Anyone badly affected may have the right to make a claim for personal injury compensation under the Supply of Goods and Services Act. This is a serious recall, and whilst information has not been released about the level of risk involved, salmonella contamination can be deadly in the worse case scenarios.
