Supermarket Accidents

This training could be to ensure shelves are stacked safely to avoid items falling on customers, check aisles for items left in walk ways to avoid causing a trip hazard, or to have regular checks for spillages to avoid slip hazards to customers.

The accident circumstances, as well as your injuries, should be reported as fully and as accurately as possible, and it should be checked that these details have been recorded properly by staff members.   2. Check for witnesses to the accident – if they are present, it is important to get their contact details as their evidence may be valuable later on down the line in your claim.
  3. Seek medical assistance – this should be done as soon as possible after the accident, as it not only assists with your injuries, but also allows the medic to place a record in your medical notes.
  4. Seek the advice of a specialist personal injury lawyer – again, this should be done as soon as possible after your accident whilst the events are fresh in your mind. Plus any CCTV evidence held in the store may be destroyed after a certain amount of time.
