No Win, No Fee Supermarket Claim Lawyers

If you have had an accident in a supermarket you may be entitled to claim personal injury compensation. The Occupiers Liability Act, which is the law that governs health and safety for visitors to supermarkets, says that they should take all reasonable steps to prevent an accident.

If we can prove that the supermarket has breached the regulations that they must adhere to, the Law says you can be compensated.

The most common accidents are caused by slips on spillages or mop water, trips on defects or hazards left in walkways (like stock), and injuries caused by the negligence of supermarket employees. In all of these circumstances you may have grounds for a claim – what we need to find out is whether the supermarket had taken all reasonable steps to prevent an accident or not.

So what are reasonable steps? Well these can be things like cleaning and inspection regimes, and training staff in ‘clean as you go’ policies to watch out for hazards. If a hazard has not been rectified because the supermarket doesn’t have such policies, or because it was perhaps missed, you may have a winning case.

When it comes to being injured by employees of the supermarket acting negligently, the supermarket (as their employer) can be ‘vicariously liable’ for their actions. So if the employee is negligent, the employer (i.e. the supermarket) can be negligent.

Call us on 0800 634 7575 and we can assess the case based on the circumstances you provide and we can advise you whether we can offer you a no win, no fee arrangement. Where we can, our no win, no fee does exactly what it says on the tin – if the case is lost, we can write off our legal fees.

We’re prepared to do this where we believe we have a good enough chance of winning a claim. If we are confident that there is a fighting chance, we can fund the case on the basis that we waive our legal fees if we cannot succeed with it.

WARNING – some firms out there have upfront fees or additional charges and their no win, no fee may not cover everything. So be careful!
