Baby thrown in front of travelling vehicle

Seven month old baby, Tavish Dabedeen, was very lucky to escape serious injury after he was thrown in front of a moving bus in an attack by two girls.

Tavish was in the arms of his sister when the brutal attack occurred, he was snatched from his sister by one of the girls and thrown into the road just as a bus was approaching. The driver managed to swerve to avoid hitting the baby; he was then taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The girls were reportedly targeting Tavish’s sister who was accompanied by her mother. The two girls accordingly go to the same school as Tavish’s sister and seem to have targeted her as she suffers from Vitiligo, which affects the skin and causes patches to lose pigmentation and appear blotchy.

The attack happened at approximately 7:15pm on 27th July outside West Croydon train station on London Road.

The poor baby is very lucky to be alive; the circumstances of the accident could have been very different had the driver not managed to avoid the youngster.

Tavish’s father was very distraught at the news of the incident, reportedly commenting:

“My son could have been killed. My wife and daughter were attacked in broad daylight. He is ok now but my daughter is still in shock. Physically she is alright but not mentally. She doesn’t want to go into town and wants to leave the country and live somewhere else… He is lucky to be alive, he hit his head and had bumps and bruises but other than that he is fine.”

Mr. Dabedeen, a business man, believes that his daughter was singled out by bullies from her school.

A fourteen year old girl has been arrested under suspicion of carrying out actual bodily harm on another person and has been bailed while further enquires are pending.

If you or someone you know has been involved in an act of violence by another you should contact the Police and report the incident as soon as possible.

You can actually claim for compensation if you have been attacked for no apparent reason.

There is a government body known as the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (or CICA) who deal with these types of claims, you can go through the CICA by yourself, however, I would recommend that you obtain the help of The Injury Lawyers so that you can claim the maximum compensation that you are entitled to.
