Well, I am pleased to tell you that it\u2019s a very straightforward process with the right injury lawyer on board. Here are the Do\u2019s and Don\u2019ts for whiplash injury compensation claims, and an insight in to <strong><em>how much your claim could be worth<\/em><\/strong>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DO\u2019S<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Specialist Injury Lawyer<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Make sure you instruct a fully qualified <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theinjurylawyers.co.uk\/\">injury lawyer<\/a> from a reputable firm of experts to handle your claim. <strong><em>Go direct to a lawyer<\/em><\/strong> (i.e. find one yourself) and make sure they offer you the below key elements to secure the maximum compensation in the quickest possible time, with the minimum of hassle and fuss for you. If they deal only with claims for injury, you are instructing <em>the<\/em> experts (in theory).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">100% Compensation Agreement<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Make sure you get a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theinjurylawyers.co.uk\/no_win_no_fee.php\">Genuine No Win No Fee<\/a> that actually <strong><em>guarantees in writing that you will not be charged<\/em><\/strong>. All your insurers do is refer the claim over to a lawyer for a <strong><em>referral fee \/ administration fee<\/em><\/strong>, which can be anywhere up to <strong><em>\u00a3800<\/em><\/strong>. This \u00a3800 is not recoverable from the other side, and can only come from one of two places:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Taken from Your compensation<\/em><\/strong> payout: a percentage reduction, or monetary amount you have to pay out<\/li>\n<li>The Lawyers Budget: leaving you with a potentially <strong><em>poor service as they have no money to spend on providing you with a great service<\/em><\/strong>. Less updates, less care, less attention to your case. And how can you trust them to fight tooth and nail for a maximum payout if they <strong><em>don\u2019t have the money to fight?<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Your insurers may tell you that a No Win No Fee lawyer will charge you. This is entirely fabricated. I know this because we never charge a client for our work under our agreement \u2013 whether the claim wins or loses.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Avoid Claims Management Companies \u2013 The Middlemen<\/span><\/p>\n<p>These chaps are <strong><em>not solicitors<\/em><\/strong>. They may have \u201clegally trained advisors\u201d (whatever that means!) to tell you if you have a claim or not, but they cannot represent you. What they will do is <strong><em>refer your claim over to a solicitor<\/em><\/strong>. And yes, it\u2019s for a fee! They are not charities. \u00a0I have seen a lot of their agreements that actually <strong><em>charge the client, you, around \u00a3400<\/em><\/strong> for their work \u2013 and all they do is find you a lawyer. Get yourself on Google and you can find your own for free!<\/p>\n<p>If you are not charged, then the fee is absorbed from the solicitor\u2019s budget, and you <strong><em>end up in the same situation as with the insurers: with a potentially poor service.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>TIP: protect your claim \u2013 go direct to a lawyer!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Poor No Win No Fee<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Most lawyers offer the standard No Win No Fee format. There isn\u2019t anything wrong with it, but it is, in my opinion, rather \u201clawyer friendly\u201d. Most will say that your solicitor will <strong><em>only seek to recover your fees<\/em><\/strong> from the other side if the claim wins. But, what if they can\u2019t get them back? They can easily come back to you for the remainder \u2013 all they have to do is seek, i.e. try, and get their fees back from the other side.<\/p>\n<p>Most reputable firms probably wouldn\u2019t use such a power. But it\u2019s key to remember that <strong><em>they can rightfully charge you<\/em><\/strong>. I have heard of instances where the solicitors will, and have, charged their clients. Personally, I feel this is untenably wrong. But it\u2019s not illegal\u2026<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Poor, or No Service Levels<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Leading on from the above in the \u201cDO\u2019S\u201d section, if you are not offered any service promises, you could be in for a long and lonely ride\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How Much is a Whiplash Injury Compensation Claim Worth?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s some brief advice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minor Whiplash Injuries &#8211; between <strong>\u00a3875 to \u00a35,150 <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Moderate Whiplash Injuries &#8211; range from <strong>\u00a35,150 to \u00a316,400<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Severe Whiplash Injuries &#8211; range up to anywhere in the region of <strong>\u00a397,000!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For any more advice, feel free to give us a call.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whiplash claims are one of the more common types of injury claims we secure thousands of pounds in compensation for when it comes to clients we represent.
