Unfortunately,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theinjurylawyers.co.uk\/whiplash_claims.php\"> whiplash<\/a> is a much more complicated injury than you\u2019d think. In fact, if you are reading this and you are having the symptoms, you may be in for a bit of a shock. Here\u2019s a guide on how it all works:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Whiplash Symptoms<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pain \/ stiffness \/ inflammation of the neck, back, and shoulders. Pain can radiate in to other areas as well (arms, legs etc).<\/li>\n<li>Headaches \u2013 normally common directly after the accident.<\/li>\n<li>Reduced movement in the affected area, and \/ or muscular spasms.<\/li>\n<li>Pins and needles and \/ or numbness in the hands and arms.<\/li>\n<li>Dizziness and tiredness \u2013 even vertigo in some cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A whiplash injury is generally <strong><em>hard to predict<\/em><\/strong> in the early stages. It affects different people in different ways, and is often subject to the force of the impact you have been involved in. You could be suffering for a couple of weeks, or you could be suffering for months and months.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Whiplash Treatment<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, there is often very little your doctor can do to help you, other than prescribe you with some <strong><em>pain medication<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>anti-inflammatory drugs<\/em><\/strong> if they are required.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Physiotherapy is a great way to assist with the recovery of your injuries<\/em><\/strong>.
