These include:<\/p>\n<div class=\"well\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Assaults or Attacks:<\/strong> Violent attacks happen all over the world; in the unfortunate event that the person suffering a violent attack is struck in the head or face, they may lose their sight if there is any sort of trauma to the eye area<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sharp objects:<\/strong> Sharp objects can be found just about anywhere and can result in partial\u00a0loss of sight or blindness<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chemicals:<\/strong> If chemicals come into contact with the eyes, they can cause burning, which in the worst circumstances can result in blindness<\/li>\n<li><strong>Head Trauma:<\/strong> Any damage to the head can result in blindness or loss of sight, especially though\u00a0a <a href=\"\/brain-injury-claims\" target=\"_blank\">brain injury<\/a>, for example<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Loss of sight can also be caused whilst working with certain objects, especially in the engineering business. Employees should follow regulations and guides put in to place at work to prevent themselves from suffering such an injury.<\/p>\n<p>Medical negligence can also result in such an injury; this may be due to mistakes made by medical professionals, and is often referred to as clinical negligence. Laser eye surgery is a common example of this.
