\"\"It\u2019s that time of year again that seems to come around faster and faster each and every\u00a0time. I can barely remember Summer; it seemed to go so fast. Yesterday, the North East of England saw the first fall of snow for the coming winter<\/strong>. The Met Office are warning that this could be just a taster of the first falls of snow due to make an appearance this week. They say that temperatures could go as low as -10c on Friday night.<\/p>\n

This will be good news for those of us who love to see snow falling on the ground –\u00a0for those of us who don\u2019t, it may be the worst news we\u2019ve heard since we found out Wagner was not voted out once again on this week\u2019s X-factor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With Christmas approaching, the cold weather and winter snow really gets us in the mood for all things festive. It also makes us want to avoid roads at all costs<\/strong>. Snow and ice creates some of the worst driving conditions, making it more likely for us to become involved in a road traffic accident.
\n<\/p>\n

Local councils will be doing everything in their power to make the roads as safe as possible. This means that they\u2019ll be out gritting the roads to prevent ice and snow settling on the ground. If the weather forecast is right, and it does snow this week, those of you who can should avoid driving on the roads.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understandable that some of us have to get in to work, and the snow can\u2019t always be avoided. It\u2019s advisable that you leave the car at home and opt for using public transport. This way you don\u2019t face the hazards caused by driving in the snow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you are unfortunate to become involved in a road traffic accident<\/a> this winter, the same regulations apply.\u00a0Weather conditions may be taken in to account when assessing. You will need to take note of the contact details of the other party involved, along with their insurance details, and the make and registration of their vehicle.<\/p>\n
