\"\"It\u2019s official winter is finally here, with snow forecast to fall on the high grounds and temperatures to reach lows of\u00a0freezing. In just over one weeks time the clocks will go back an hour, which means an extra hour in bed for those who see their glass as half full. For those who see it half empty, unfortunately it means that it gets dark an hour earlier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Personally I love summer, and the cold dark nights are not my favourite. Winter can create some of the worst driving conditions<\/strong>. I love seeing snow fall on the ground, or to wake up to white covered grounds. What I don\u2019t love is the thought of driving home in it. Last year snow caused madness on the roads. Not only did it create some of the worst traffic jams, but when it melted it uncovered hundreds of new potholes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been driving for three years, so in my eyes I am a fairly experienced driver. However, on\u00a0my drive home from work on one Sunday afternoon, after snow had settled on the ground, forcing us to shut early, made me realise that maybe I\u2019m not as clued up as I may have once thought. Driving down a hill at less than 10mph and I still managed to skid into the curb, missing a near-by lamp post by centimetres.
\n<\/p>\n

Snow on the roads means drivers face some of the most terrifying driving conditions. It is advisable to any driver this winter that if you don\u2019t need to go out in your car, then stay at home and off the roads<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If you become involved in a car accident<\/a> in such weather conditions, it may be seen that neither party was at fault, but the weather conditions were to blame. Motor vehicle accidents can cause severe injuries in the best of weather conditions, never mind ice and snow.<\/p>\n

As winter approaches it is best that you follow the weather forecast before choosing to take your car out. If you are unfortunate enough to become involved in a car accident it is best to seek legal advice before pursuing a possible compensation claim<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
