\nThere was recently an accident at a sports centre where a girl was on the pole vault, when officials made a mistake setting the landing pads up wrong. This then caused the girl to miss the mats when landing, and resulted in her breaking her leg<\/strong>. She had to be signed off work for nine weeks, and still struggled when she returned. Athletics has been a huge part of her life for so long and now she’s been told that she won’t be able to jog for at least two months.<\/p>\n

Not only did the accident have a long-term affect on her sporting career, it also affected her fitness. It will take months of training to get back to the level she was at before the accident.\u00a0<\/p>\n
