\"\"So, what do you do when you are in your local supermarket and you are suddenly forced to dive for cover because you hear an explosion? Well, I think most people would panic in the situation \u2013 and fear the worst, especially with terror alerts still being in the back of people\u2019s minds over the past decade or so.<\/p>\n

But you\u2019d be even more confused when you find out that the explosion was caused by a coffee machine…<\/p>\n

For those of you not familiar with this story, the press have being covering the exploding coffee machine incident that happened earlier this week at a Sainsbury store in the Kingsmead Centre, Farnborough. According to sources from the Daily Mail (http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-1311946\/Sainsburys-coffee-explosion-injures-7-caf.html<\/a>), the industrial sized coffee machine at the Sainsbury\u2019s on site cafe exploded like a bomb, injuring 15 people<\/em><\/strong> and leading to a full evacuation of the store. It\u2019s a bizarre story… and it\u2019s also pretty scary stuff. You\u2019d expect the last place to be in the firing line of an explosion would be your local supermarket cafe.
\n<\/p>\n

The source goes on to say that a spokesman from the local ambulance service has confirmed that a 23 year old woman was the most seriously injured<\/em><\/strong>, suffering wounds to her head, eye, arm, back, and neck. Others have reportedly suffered minor injuries, however the full extent of these are yet to be determined. A hole in the wall behind it, completely destroying the machine<\/em><\/strong> (see the source photos) due to a cylinder exploding behind it.<\/p>\n

A couple next door were reported to have stated that they were rocked by the explosion<\/em><\/strong>, comparing it to like an \u201carmy shell going off in the distance.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Paramedics tended the injured on the scene as the whole store was evacuated, and one person was taken out on a stretcher.<\/p>\n

The revelation that the explosion was caused by a coffee machine has astounded many. A delivery driver is quoted to have said \u201cit was a massive shock to hear it was a coffee machine<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 it must have been some coffee machine to have caused something like that!\u201d The store has now reopened, however the cafe remains closed whilst investigations in to the cause of the explosion are ongoing<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s certainly one of the more bizarre stories I have ever heard of.
