A British holiday maker has died after a drunken prank at his hotel went horribly wrong. Keven Louis, the 27-year-old Brit, plunged more than 300ft after losing his grip as he hung off his fifth floor balcony. The incident happened at 7.40am after a boozy night out in the Majorcan clubbing resort, Magaluf. \u00a0<\/p>\n
According to police Mr Louis had asked his friends to count how long he could hold on for. Mr Louis, who was born in Blackburn, Lancashire was on holiday in the resort with four friends when he attempted the stunt.<\/p>\n
A witness to Sunday\u2019s 7.40am incident said: \u201cIt all happened so quickly. He clambered over his balcony and only held on for a few seconds before he dropped. He fell head-first like a lead weight and smashed on to a concrete ramp leading down to an underground car park next to his hotel garden.\u201d

The witness added: \u201cHis friends saw everything. They were in tears when ambulance workers told them he was gone.\u201d<\/p>\n
A police source said Mr Louis fell before his friends could \u2018talk him out of it\u2019. He added: \u201cThey had been drinking most of the night but they sobered up pretty quickly with the shock.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Louis is the second Brit to have died after falling from a Magaluf hotel this year, along with dozens more who have been injured.<\/p>\n
It is feared that the accidents are all part of the new craze which has been dubbed \u2018balconing\u2019. This is where holiday makers try to jump from room to room or from their balcony into the swimming pool.<\/p>\n
With this holiday season coming to an end, hotel owners are set to discuss new measures to stop youngsters attempting the dangerous stunt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
