\"\"Is it just me or have you noticed the dark nights creeping in? The last time I looked it wasn\u2019t getting dark until 10pm at the earliest. However in the past week or so it\u2019s started getting darker around 8.30pm. This can only mean one thing… Winter is just around the corner. Not only does this mean we\u2019re going to have to dig out last season\u2019s sweats to keep us warm on those cold winter mornings, it also means that we\u2019re going to have to take extra care on the roads<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A lot of drivers, my mum been one of them, don\u2019t feel as comfy when using the roads in the dark<\/strong>. This means that when it starts getting dark at 4pm drivers maybe more unsteady than normal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the hint of fear like not been able to see what\u2019s coming towards you that worry\u2019s some drivers. I personally find it more difficult to judge the distance between myself and other cars when it\u2019s darker.
\n<\/p>\n

Winter is often the worst time for traffic jams, because as we all know the weather has a huge impact on driving conditions<\/strong>. We probably all had this drilled into us on our driving lessons, but just in case any of you forgot when roads are wet, or icy this can affect our stopping distance.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not some driving expert trying to give lessons on how to drive, It\u2019s just these dark, icy nights give me another reason to hate winter.<\/p>\n
