Always record everything that has happened, the more information you can take the easier the matter becomes<\/strong>. It\u2019s always best to take the information as soon after the event as possible as that way you are less likely to make mistakes and record inaccurate information. After the accident involving the taxi, you will need to find out the taxi drivers name, the company who insures them, the company they work for, the vehicle registration number and the drivers number. Also record any details of any other vehicles who were involved, the driver\u2019s names and addresses and take information from witnesses. Make a statement of all the facts that lead to the accident, whose fault you thought it was.

Always seek medical attention after any accident<\/strong>, you may think you feel fine but that isn\u2019t always the case, sometimes you injuries aren\u2019t apparent immediately. The medical notes that are taken from your examination will also support your claim for compensation.<\/p>\n

If you can, take photographs of your injuries e.g. bruising, cuts and grazes. This will provide very clear evidence to support your claim for compensation. Also again, if possible, take photographs of the scene of the accident as the evidence then can\u2019t be questioned. <\/p>\n

If you have had to pay out for any expenses as a result of your accident keep a record of what you have paid out and keep the receipts<\/strong>.
