Our client asked The Injury Lawyers<\/a> for help when he suffered a deep cut to the arm when using an angle grinder on an unstable job at work. A part of the job came down and hit our client due to the vibrations from using the grinder, which clearly constituted as an unsafe system of working.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately the grinder came in to contact with his arm as he was knocked by the falling part of the job, which resulted in the nasty injury being suffered.

\nMany workplaces are rife with dangers especially where equipment like grinders are being used. They are, for obvious reasons, very dangerous pieces of equipment. There are several workplace health and safety regulations that can apply where grinders are being used, and in this case our primary allegations were breaches in the management of health and safety at work as well as work equipment regulations.<\/p>\n

Clearly the risks had not been assessed given that part of the job was allowed to fall during use of the angle grinder. It should have been considered that the job may not be stable and it should have been considered just how dangerous the equipment was.<\/p>\n
