You can say that, technically speaking, it would be very rare indeed for a lawyer not to charge you for a claim. When you make a claim for personal injury compensation on a no win, no fee agreement<\/a>, it is usually the case that the legal fees incurred by your lawyer are your<\/em> fees. The government stopped you from recovering all of your legal fees in April 2013. Now it is common to have to pay a success fee deduction which is normally up to 25% from your claim. The amount of 25% is a common one as this is the maximum that can be deducted from your settlement to cover your solicitor\u2019s success fee.<\/p>\n

On top of that, many lawyers have additional percentages; additional charges or upfront fees you have to pay; charges for insurance; and other basic costs you may need to pay for.<\/p>\n
