NHS England have confirmed in their press release of this week that five patients they have tested have been diagnosed with Hepatitis C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This news comes as no surprise to us as we are already representing former patients<\/strong> of disgraced Nottinghamshire dentist Desmond D’Mello who have contracted the disease<\/strong>. The news is a worrying blow to the thousands of people who have been treated at the Daybrook Dental Surgery in Arnold for decades.
\n<\/p>\n

We are actively investigating several cases of former patients who have been diagnosed with Hepatitis C. Our specialist Daybrook Dental Negligence Team<\/a> continues to lead the way in the fight for justice for the thousands of former patients who have been affected by D’Mello’s blatant disregard for infection control procedures.<\/p>\n

The press release confirms that just 4,562 patients have been for testing<\/strong> despite the figures of former patients being estimated to be in the region of 22,000. Thankfully no cases of HIV or Hepatitis B have been found but five cases of Hepatitis C have been identified.<\/p>\n

According to several sources, it is our team who are still representing the majority of former patients<\/strong> in the legal action for what has happened. We\u2019re actively investigating several Hepatitis C cases.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the press release, Dr Doug Black, the Medical Director for NHS England in Nottinghamshire, has said: <\/p>\n

\u201cOf the 4,526 patients seen and tested at the temporary clinic at Highcroft Medical Centre in Arnold, five patients were newly diagnosed with hepatitis C and there were no newly – diagnosed cases of hepatitis B or HIV\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
