You can also claim for losses and expenses on top, like lost earnings, loss on the open labour market if the injury causes problems continuing your occupation or trade, and medical expenses. When it comes to the hands they can of course have a significant impact.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Most severe crush injuries to the hand causing effective loss of one hand: \u00a368,750 &#8211; \u00a378,300<\/li>\n<li>Severe hand crush injury resulting in significantly impaired function: \u00a310,350 &#8211; \u00a320,750<\/li>\n<li>General hand crush injuries with little or no long term affect: \u00a34,500 &#8211; \u00a39,500<\/li>\n<li>Compression\/crush fracture of the lumbar vertebrae: \u00a319,850 &#8211; \u00a327,700<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There can of course be lower awards for much simpler soft tissue damage caused by crushing injuries.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lower Limb Crush Injuries<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Severe leg crush injury claims: \u00a319,850 &#8211; \u00a328,000<\/li>\n<li>Severe toe crush injuries falling short of amputation: \u00a39,800 &#8211; \u00a315,000<\/li>\n<li>Serious crush and fracture injuries affecting more than one toe: \u00a36,850 &#8211; \u00a39,800<\/li>\n<li>Straightforward toe crush injuries: up to \u00a36,850<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The above are the only sections of the official guidelines that specifically refer to crush injury claims so you can of course claim damages for other areas not mentioned above like the arms and feet.
