Image courtesy of Coventry Telegraph<\/figcaption><\/figure>An Audi in Coventry has reportedly crashed in to the front of a house, leaving the family who were sat watching TV in their living room lucky to have escaped injury. Sources from The Metro<\/a> confirm that a passenger in the vehicle suffered neck, pelvic, and leg injuries after the Audi Saloon reportedly left the road and crashed 10ft deep in to the structure of the house.<\/p>\n

The family living inside were lucky to have escaped injury but were freed by fire crews along with the injured passenger in the vehicle, which was blocking the family’s escape route.<\/p>\n

Whilst road accidents are common given the sheer volume of traffic on Britain’s roads, circumstances like this are less common. We have represented victims of accidents where vehicles have left the road and crashed in to a property before, and it can of course be a lot worse than a simple road traffic collision. The structural damage, as well as the injuries that can be associated, can be significant.<\/p>\n

Structural damage, as is the case by the looks of this accident, is set to be huge. Although most people should have building and contents insurance, which many like me would call a necessity nowadays, the structural damage can be claimed from the insurers of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

It is of course extremely fortunate that the family were not injured. Increased damage to the structure could have lead to a full or partial collapse, and if any gas pipes or equipment were hit there could have been an explosion or a fire. Thankfully the rescue crews were able to break the family and the passenger free and the vehicle luckily didn’t impact with the living room were the family where situated at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
