Supermarket compensation claims are extremely common. Normally it\u2019s a slip or trip case caused by some kind of spillage or leak on the floor or something in an aisle way that has been left there and poses a dangerous tripping hazard. The law changed in April 2013 that stopped lawyers being able to recover all of their legal fees from the opponent. Now, we can\u2019t recover something called a Success Fee that helps law firms act for victims on a No Win, No Fee basis<\/a> as part of access to justice rules. The result is that law firms are now taking this from their clients\u2019 compensation claims.<\/p>\n

Most law firms will take 25% from their clients, which is the maximum they are allowed to charge a client for the Success Fee (capped by the Government).<\/p>\n

But we here at The Injury Lawyers<\/a>, for supermarket accident compensation claims we do not take 25% from our client\u2019s payouts!<\/p>\n

So what do we charge?<\/h2>\n

We charge the supermarket, or their insurers, for our legal fees. We, and all the other lawyers, can still recover legal fees; we just can\u2019t recover as much as we used to be able to do thanks the Success Fee recoverability change.<\/p>\n

We recover what fees we still can, and waive the Success Fee charge.<\/p>\n

So how much do I pay?<\/h3>\n

As long as you comply with the terms of our agreement, you don\u2019t pay anything to us as we recover the legal fees that we still can from the other side. As I said, we\u2019re still getting paid by the other side, we just can\u2019t get as much as we used to be able to due to the changes.<\/p>\n

How can we do this?<\/h4>\n

We can still provide an excellent service to our clients whilst operating on reduced legal fees so you don\u2019t have to lose any of your compensation for these simple reasons:<\/p>\n
