According to sources from the Manchester Evening News<\/a>, seven people have been injured after a 10mx5m section of plasterboard fell from the roof on to club goers heads on the dance floor at Manchester\u2019s Factory 251 nightclub on Princess St in the city centre.<\/p>\n

Paramedics attended the scene of the incident, which happened at around 2:30am this morning, and seven injured victims were said to be treated for minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution. Thankfully reports suggest so far that none of the injuries appear to be serious.<\/p>\n

Police, who were also in attendance, have said that around 150 people were on the second floor of the city centre nightclub when the incident occurred, and around 850 people were evacuated from the premises.<\/p>\n

The news comes just weeks after a similar incident at London\u2019s Apollo Theatre where sections of the roofing suddenly came down in to the audience during a performance.<\/p>\n
