In the past, for most accident claims, lawyers would not take a percentage from your payout and 100% compensation <\/a>was a common thing. But you\u2019re probably reading this as you have noticed that lawyers now want to take a cut of up to 25% from your compensation if you claim with them!<\/p>\n

So what happened to 100% Compensation<\/a>? Why are lawyers now wanting to take 25% from you payout?<\/p>\n

Simply put – the government changed the law.<\/b><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t agree with their changes \u2013 what they have done is stopped lawyers being able to recover all of the legal fees they used to be able to recover from the other side. Now, we cannot recover a Success Fee or the premium for a policy of After The Event insurance \u2013 which is insurance traditionally taken out for an accident victim in case they end up having to pay certain costs.<\/p>\n

The Success Fee is what lawyers are now taking from your payout with a percentage, and 25% is common as the government imposed a cap to stop lawyers taking any more than 25% from your compensation. On top of that, many lawyers will ask you to pay for the insurance yourself \u2013 sometimes upfront.<\/p>\n

So that\u2019s the reason \u2013 now the big question is this: are there any lawyers out there who will still give you 100% of your compensation<\/a>?<\/b><\/p>\n
