\"overturned-bus\"It seems buses aren\u2019t having a great deal of luck at the moment, following on from my recent article about the bus that went a \u201cbridge too far\u201d; ripping the roof off due to a low bridge. The Mirror has reported of another incident involving a double decker bus in London! (source<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Passengers had to be cut free<\/em><\/strong> by the fire service after they became trapped in an overturned bus following a collision with a lorry<\/em><\/strong>. The driver of the bus as well as four other people were seriously hurt in the incident which occurred earlier this week during the 8:30am rush hour traffic. Three passengers had to be cut free by emergency services, and a further 13 people required hospital treatment<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A full investigation will be launched by Transport for London, with police enquires ongoing following the arrest of the male lorry driver<\/em><\/strong> whom is believed to remain in police custody. The London Ambulance service is said to have taken a 27 year old female and a 30 year old male to St George\u2019s Hospital as a \u201cpriority\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, and another 30 year old male also being treated as a \u201cpriority\u201d<\/em><\/strong> was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

With the big freeze and snowy weather we got last night, the roads have been treacherous in many areas and this is the time when road traffic accidents<\/a> are on the rise! I discussed this in my last article, and it does look like we\u2019re in for it \u2013 I don\u2019t know about you, but my car was frozen solid this morning, and that hill I reside on wasn\u2019t pleasant to go down! To repeat the advice form yesterday: we must all make sure to take extra care out there on the roads in snowy and icy weather. It\u2019s easy to miscomprehend just how bad driving conditions can get \u2013 so stay safe!<\/p>\n

Passengers involved in accidents are entitled to compensation<\/em><\/strong> – this is because the majority of the time there is nothing they could have done to prevent or contribute to the accident.
