Whiplash is a strange injury, in that it is something that doesn\u2019t show itself straight away! You can be absolutely fine the day of the accident and yet wake up the next morning unable to look left and right. Unfortunately, this is just something that happens and is something that a lot of people worry about as medical attention may not be sought until a few days after the collision<\/strong>! However, this is something that occurs in the majority of road traffic cases and therefore should not be something that holds you back from making a whiplash injury claim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One of the most common questions that we are asked here at The Injury Lawyers<\/a> is how much is my claim worth?
\n<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, we are simply unable to answer this question, as every accident and injury is different with a value being based predominantly on professional medical evidence. Another main tool that we use when valuing claims are the Judicial Studies Guidelines<\/strong> – this is general advice that gives rough brackets as to what an injury is worth.<\/p>\n

As the title of this blog suggests, I will look to explore what a four month injury is roughly valued at<\/strong>. (But please note: this does not mean that you would be guaranteed this- it is purely a guide<\/em>)<\/p>\n

Usually an injury that resolves around 4 months is classed as \u201cminor\u201d. Soft tissue and whiplash injuries where symptoms are moderate with a full recovery between a few weeks and a year can be valued between \u00a3875 – \u00a35,150<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Statistically, last year, the majority of minor whiplash claims settled around \u00a32,500<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
