\"victims-of-violence\"The mirror.co.uk has reported the story of the lady who was the victim of a violent carjacking<\/em><\/strong> which left her fighting for her life. Caroline Jonhson has been left wheelchair bound after a drug addict stole her car whilst she was scraping ice from the wind shield (source<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Kevin Richardson, 34, drove off and dragged the 46 year old mother of four for a staggering 65ft before leaving her for dead on the road<\/em><\/strong>, frothing at the mouth and swearing at her behind the wheel. The theft of the vehicle is thought to be related to the offenders drug related habit as it is reported he and an associate where out all night looking for drugs when they targeted their victim.<\/p>\n

Mrs Johnson fell in to a coma for weeks, with her heart stopping in the ambulance after sustaining horrific injuries<\/em><\/strong> including a collapsed lung and multiple fractures pelvis, arms, legs, lower back, and most of her ribs.
\n<\/p>\n

A Judge has described the offence as \u201cabsolutely despicable\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. The offender Kevin Richardson has violent convictions dating back 21 years, and is reportedly well known to almost every local police officer.<\/p>\n

There appears to be a great deal of recurrence of these types of violent crimes in the news lately<\/em><\/strong>, and we ourselves have authored several articles of this nature.<\/p>\n

The mirror.co.uk also reported of the unprovoked drunken assault that has left a young man with severe brain injuries and long term damage<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0(source<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Ben Halliwell has been left with near-fatal head injuries following a drunken assault<\/em><\/strong> that has left the 27 year old in a critical condition, leaving him in a coma for 5 weeks and in hospital for a further 6 months<\/em><\/strong>. His horrific injuries have left him with permanent disabilities, requiring full time care as a result. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Ben was calling in to a chip shop following a quiet pint with a friend when 20 year old Adam Roberetson launched his unprovoked attack, punching Ben in the face subsequently rendering him unconscious<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s concerning that acts of such horrific violence like this are happening on a more regular basis. Sadly both victims\u2019 lives have been changed forever due the unprovoked and violent acts of a drug addict and a drunk.<\/p>\n
