In recent news, it has been reported that a taxi driver reached speeds of 100mph in freezing conditions whilst he had passengers in his vehicle.
Neil Colquhoun told his two passengers, Victoria and Louise Guthrie to “shut up” when they asked him to slow down, as he raced along at dangerous speeds. Mr Colquhoun reached speeds of up to 70mph in built up areas that have a speed limit of 30mph. He then went on to overtake another vehicle on a blind bend. The two sisters were left feeling very “shaken” and to make matters worse, they recently lost their brother in a motorbike crash.
The sisters must have been terrified by the speeds that Mr. Colquhoun reached as he sped past the scene of one of Scotland’s worst road accidents. As they left Perth, Mr. Colquhoun overtook the vehicle on the blind bend and then went on to reach speeds of 100mph on the Burnbrae Straight near Methven where five people died in 2007 in a road accident. The sisters told Perth Sheriff Court that they watched the speedometer as Mr. Colquhoun continued to drive at speeds of 70mph as he drove through the village of Methven.

Paria and Galia Najmi, twin sisters aged nine, were on holiday with their parents in Spain when the fatal accident happened. The Volvo that the family were travelling in overturned on the motorway as the family were travelling along the motorway in the South of Spain. According to local Police the twin girls had not been wearing their seatbelts. Sadly Paria died at the scene of the accident and Galia later lost her fight for life in hospital.
The twin’s parents were also injured in the accident which happened yesterday evening near the city, Zaragoza which is approximately 200 miles from Madrid.
The girl’s father, Homayoun Najmi, is in the intensive care unit. He is believed to be unaware of the death of his two girls.
Farzaneh Heidari, the girl’s mother is in hospital being treated for shock and minor injuries. Relatives were at her bedside comforting her over her tragic loss.

I came across a very tragic story today on the Sky News website; it seems that a family have been destroyed at the expense on an incredibly dangerous driver, who was driving the wrong way on the A1 in Newcastle.
The family were travelling in a black jaguar and were hit by the dangerous driver who was driving a burgundy Jaguar. It is understood that a 40 year old mother was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, her daughter later died in hospital. The girl’s 37- year – old father who was driving the vehicle was later treated in hospital for minor injuries but it is not thought that these are serious. A six month old baby has also been treated at the same hospital for minor injuries. The accident happened at approximately 9:30pm on Sunday 08th August 2010.

Robert Whatley, a 70 year old retired business man, was stopped by Police after he had been caught driving without wearing his seatbelt. The Policeman who was issuing Mr Whatley with a ticket walked around to the passenger’s side of the vehicle, Mr Whatley presumed that the Police had finished dealing with him so he left the scene to drive home as he suffers from a heart condition and was recovering from a Stroke he said he felt “frail and vulnerable” and was scared that he may suffer another stroke at the time of the incident.
Mr Whatley was then followed by the Police for 17 minutes, the Police had their sirens on as Mr Whatley proceeded keeping to the speed limit. Mr Whatley believed that the Police were escorting him home when he saw the blue lights from the Siren. Mr Whatley had to stop when the Police used a ‘stinger’ device which is used to puncture tyres of those people trying to evade the Police.
The ‘chase’ was filmed on the Police’s camera and the events after Mr. Whatley pulled over can only be described as shocking. When Mr. Whatley did stop, as his Range Rover’s tyre had been punctured, it can be seen on the video that one Police officer launched himself onto the bonnet of Mr. Whatley’s vehicle. It then appears that he proceeds to kick the 4×4’s windscreen, whilst the other Officer smashes Mr. Whaley’s driver window.

Seven month old baby, Tavish Dabedeen, was very lucky to escape serious injury after he was thrown in front of a moving bus in an attack by two girls.
Tavish was in the arms of his sister when the brutal attack occurred, he was snatched from his sister by one of the girls and thrown into the road just as a bus was approaching. The driver managed to swerve to avoid hitting the baby; he was then taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The girls were reportedly targeting Tavish’s sister who was accompanied by her mother. The two girls accordingly go to the same school as Tavish’s sister and seem to have targeted her as she suffers from Vitiligo, which affects the skin and causes patches to lose pigmentation and appear blotchy.

In recent news it has been reported that Manchester United Football player, Anderson, has had an almighty shock after he was pulled out of an Audi R8 sports car. It is unknown who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident as a man and women were also pulled from the burning vehicle along with a “lifeless” Anderson, moments before the car exploded into a ball of flames.
It’s reported that Anderson was unconscious when he was retrieved from the vehicle but is now recovering from “concussion, whiplash and shock” it is said that he spent several hours in hospital following the accident. The 22 year old International Brazilian player was recovered from the £125,000.00 Audi after it hit a brick wall in Portugal. Anderson had been recovering from a knee injury which he had received treatment for.
The incident happened in the Geres area of Braga and is currently being investigated by Police in the area. A spokesman for the Football star said that Anderson suffered “an almighty scare”.

Taxi accidents are more frequent than people realise and it often leaves the passengers in what feels like a very awkward position, as after al,l they may wonder what they can do as they were only a passenger. Well it is possible to make a claim for compensation for the injuries you have suffered.

The transportation of Toxic waste to the Ivory Coast, a country in South Africa, is allegedly responsible for the injury of thousands of local people living on the coast line. It is reported that Trafigura, a British and Dutch based company, had attempted to acquire a Dutch Contractor to clean up the waste on one of its ships but the price was too high so the company employed an Ivorian Company to dispose of the waste. The company Trafigura denies any wrong doing.
A UN report shows that the dumped waste can very likely be held accountable for the death of fifteen people in the area, strong evidence suggests.

A story in recent news reports of a teenage girl who has sadly died after being sent home from the hospital after her full symptoms weren’t fully diagnosed. (source)
Amy Carter, 15, begged Doctors at Worcester Royal Hospital not to send her home as she said “I’m dying”. Amy was diagnosed with Glandular Fever and was sent home by Doctors who told her to take paracetamol and get plenty of rest. Amy sadly died three days later after suffering from four heart attacks and multiple organ failure.
A Post-mortem examination showed that Amy had died from Glandular Fever and Streptococcal Toxic Shock Syndrome, a very lethal combination of illnesses which has never been seen in a patient before. Amy developed Septicemia after being released by Doctors. Amy hadn’t been able to eat for nineteen days and weighed only six stones.

Most people enjoy going abroad on holiday and now is a popular season for taking holidays abroad. When you arrive at your destination, the least thing you expect to happen is to be involved in an accident. Usually, whilst you are on holiday, especially if you have gone as part of a package deal, you will find that you’re well looked after but sometimes, on the unfortunate occasion, you may have found that this hasn’t happened which has led to an accident.
