In the first instance, always make sure that your injury has been reported to a member of staff on duty. No matter how minor you think your injuries are – and also try to see if there were any witnesses to the incident. A witness can be anyone who may have seen your accident happen, or even if they witnessed the hazard that caused you to slip or trip beforehand.
